The Journey
Church is a group of people from different walks of life and
different backgrounds who have come together to form a community of
faith.
We experience the journey of life together by encouraging and praying
for each
other, by walking through life’s difficulties together, and by sharing
together in a
common purpose and faith in Jesus Christ.

God
has called us to live and communicate an authentic faith that
attracts spiritually receptive,
postmodern people
into a personally transforming environment and to use innovative methods to
provide a culturally relevant atmosphere in which these
people can find practical application of the
truths of the Bible for
everyday living.
The Journey is not a closed
community but is open to those who are spiritually
seeking, who have
not been to church in a while, or who are just looking for a place to
belong.
The bottom line is this: God has created us to be in relationship with Him and to be a reflection
of His glory, but He does
not expect us to walk this road alone. We were made for Him and for
each other. This is why He created the church (not so much a
particular local church
organization or denomination, but that which
is spiritually expressed in the collective body of all
who trust in Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church, for their salvation)—that we may
be vitally
connected to God and to others who belong to Jesus Christ.
We are a part of a larger collection of churches known as the
Christian & Missionary Alliance,
which has been a significant missionary movement for the last century.
As part of the Alliance,
we are active in support of and partnership
with missionaries around the world.
